Canon launches EOS 100D and EOS 700D

Canon has recently introduced two new creative models the new EOS 100D and the EOS 700D. With its lightweight and compact features, the first one EOS 100D is designed for mobile photography. While the EOS 700D promises stark colours and resolution beyond your imagination for all the captured images.

Canon’s latest EOS 700D camera is touted as the most advanced consumer EOS model to date and it comes equipped with an 18 megapixels hybrid CMOS AF sensor and a 7.7 cm Vari-angle Clear View LCD II touchscreen.

It offers 5 frames-per-second shooting, a wide 9-point all cross type AF system and a simplified 360° rotating mode dial. With this feature, users can get easy access to the camera's various shooting modes.

Canon's next offering, the EOS 700D model, packs Digic 5 image processor and a shooting speed of up to 4 frames-per-second. This model is dubbed as the lightest and smallest APS-C DSLR in the world. It further comes equipped with an 18 megapixels CMOS sensor. Both the devices offer in-camera cropping feature, easy-to-use shooting modes and creative filters.

Canon's EOS 100D and EOS 700D models are slated to be launched sometime this April at a price of $1,200 for the EOS 700D kit and $1,100 for the EOS 100D kit.

Canon launches world's smallest & lightest EOS Rebel SL1 DSLR

Canon has unveiled a new EOS Rebel SL1 camera. Touted as the world's smallest DSLR, the new device happens to be the lightest (SL stands for “super lightweight") one as it weighs just 14.36 ounces.

Joining the bandwagon of Canon’s famous lineup of entry-level DSLR cameras, the EOS SL1 packs a standard kit EF-S 18-55mm IS STM optic EOS lens, 3 inch Clear View LCD monitor with two-finger touch gesture support and 18 megapixels APS-C CMOS sensor.

The new EOS Rebel SL1 comes equipped with DIGIC 5 image processor which allows up to four FPS. Designed with a built-in mono mic and stereo input jack, it can handle 1080p video at 34 or 30 FPS.

A noteworthy addition to the Canon's proud portfolio, the new EOS Rebel SL1 digital SLR camera will be available for sale in April. The device will cost $649.99 for the body and $799.99 with the new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM kit lens.

Canon EOS-b: Full Specs Revealed!


The upcoming Canon EOS-b DSLR camera is doing the rounds online. First we showed you the leaked images of the device and now the full specifications of Canon EOS-b have been revealed on the Internet by Best Buy. 

Joining the bandwagon of Canon’s popular Rebel series cameras, the Canon EOS-b is yet-to-be announced officially. This model is expected to be announced soon and it will be dubbed Kiss X7 in Japan.

Canon EOS-b camera will come equipped with an 18 megapixels sensor, a DIGIC5 processor and a 3 inch LCD screen. Users of this new canon DSLR model can enjoy 4fps continuous shooting, HD video recording and special scene/effect modes. The device will offer an SD card slot as well. Canon EOS-b images leaked online

The first leaked images of the ultra-portable Canon EOS-b/Kiss X7 camera have surfaced online. Dubbed as Canon's smallest ever DSLR, the photos of upcoming Canon EOS-b are doing rounds online.

The new Canon EOS-b toes the line of Canon’s popular Rebel series cameras. Best Buy recently revealed the specs of the device and now the pint-sized DSLR's leaked images are appearing all over the web, courtesy Digicam-info.

The key features of this canon DSLR camera include an 18 megapixels sensor, a DIGIC5 processor and a 3 inch LCD screen. The device will further offer 4fps continuous shooting, HD video recording, special scene/effect modes and an SD card slot.

Although, there is no official word on the leaked images or specifications of the device, it is expected that Canon will officially introduce the new addition to its Rebel line on March 22, 2013. Furthermore, it is guesstimated to cost around $799 in the USA.

Canon unveils two imageCLASS printers with Google Cloud Print support


Canon has launched two new laser multi-function printers (MFPs) - imageCLASS MF8280Cw and imageCLASS MF8580Cdw. Both these color printers come equipped with advanced features. These new models are also compatible with Google Cloud Print and Canon’s iOS app Canon Mobile Printing. Designed for home and office users, Canon's new imageCLASS laser printers come enabled with wireless connectivity to provide an efficient work environment.

The key features of imageCLASS MF8280Cw printer include a 150-sheet cassette, a 50-sheet auto document feeder and a single-sheet tray for both colour and black-and-white prints. The device is capable of printing 14-pages per minute. With its Pure Black and Auto Graduation Adjustment technologies, this printer produces consistent and accurate prints. 

The next one imageCLASS MF8580Cdw boasts of advanced features such as two-sided faxing, scanning and copying via the printer’s seven-line display. It is capable of printing 21-pages per minutes for both color and black-and-white prints. Users can also fax and email scanned works directly from this canon laser printer. Additionally, this device comes preloaded with 250-sheet front cassette, 50-sheet duplex, 50-sheet multi-purpose tray and an optional extended capacity 250-sheet cassette.

Canon imageCLASS MF8280Cw and imageCLASS MF8580Cdw printers will be available in April at a price of $499 and $599, respectively.

Canon launches cloud-enabled imageFORMULA DR-C120 scanner

Canon has introduced a new compact desktop scanner which comes equipped with a suite of powerful software and plug-ins for cloud-based connectivity. Designed to help small offices and corporate houses, the versatile Canon imageFORMULA DR-C120 desktop scanner offers high-speed scanning for a range of mixed document types to the users.

The Canon imageFORMULA DR-C120 supports double-sided colour scanning of up to 40ipm and packs a 50-sheet automatic document feeder. The compact and easy-to-use device features eCopy PDF Pro Office, advanced image processing and reliable document handling. This energy efficient scanner comes enabled with Cloud plug-ins to support Google Docs, Evernote and SharePoint.

It can scan ultra-thin to thick card (27-209gsm) and documents up to 3m in length. The device is programmed to scan up to A3-sized document and it offers Canon'n CaptureOnTouch software for a simple scanning option with a click of button. The other key features of this scanner include new image processing features, such as automatic deskew, an automatic resolution setting and multi stream output.

Satechi creates Smart Trigger app for Canon cameras

Here's a good news for all Canon camera lovers. Satechi, which offers a sleek line of audio, Bluetooth, smart phone, tablet, camera and office accessories, has now launched Bluetooth 4.0 Smart Trigger for Canon cameras. It's a new app designed for Canon DSLR cameras.

The Smart Trigger app can be controlled by an iOS device such as the Apple iPhone 5, iPad Mini and iPad. Basically, it's a wireless shutter trigger for your DSLR camera which employs latest Bluetooth 4.0 as the wireless protocol. With an iOS device, you can play around with this app within a max range of 50 feet.

The Smart Trigger app comes preloaded with a range of tools such as multiple shooting modes, Regular Shot mode, Manual Shot mode and Timed Shot mode. Satechi Smart Trigger is compatible with a range of popular Canon cameras, such as the 5D Mark III, Rebel T4i and 60D, reports SlashGear.

Surprisingly, the company claims that its Smart Trigger packs the most powerful battery with a life of up to 10 years! This real Smart app is now available on Satechi's website and Amazon.com at a price of $44.99.

The app buyers can avail the free companion app via the iTunes App Store. As of now the Smart Trigger app does not support Android device but the company is planning to launch soon its Android version for the Samsung Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II smartphones.
